Volunteers
are the greatest asset for the CHAT. organization. Without your help
we would not be able to provide the education, training, and time
needed to save the life of a pet. There are many ways that you
can become part of making a difference in the lives of the animals in
our community.
BECOME A FOSTER PARENT
Our
foster program is extremely important and we are always in need of foster
families for our dogs and cats, puppies and kitties. There is limited space at
our facility and fostering allows CHAT to care for more animals while they wait
for their forever home. Foster parents are never under any obligation and may
return a foster pet to us at any time.

BE A BUDDY
With as little as two to
three hours a week, you can help with the training and socialization needed to
prepare our animals for life in their new home. When you become a BUDDY to a dog of your choosing, you receive
instruction about how to get your new BUDDY to an adoptable stage by teaching
him basic commands and manners. Most
of all, you help build his confidence and trust in people, which gets his tail
wagging.
VOLUNTEER AT EVENTS
Volunteers are needed for
events throughout the year such as dog washes, fund raisers, and our Adoption
Days at Petco. Volunteers must be at
least 13 years old.
